Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?

Current pet prices for our Standard Bernedoodle puppies:

Red & Sable: $4,000

Tri-color: $4,500

DO YOU SHIP OR DELIVER?

We strongly encourage our out of state families to fly to Denver International Airport. We meet you at the airport, and then you fly home with the puppy in the cabin with you. Most airlines charge a pet fee (around $100) to allow your pup on the plane with you.

If this is not an option, we have several amazing flight nannies that have delivered our puppies. A flight nanny picks up the puppy from us at the airport, and then flies with them in the cabin to your airport. We do not cover any flight nanny fees and you are responsible to get in contact with the flight nanny to schedule travel arrangements.

Estimated Delivery Costs:

West Coast & Midwest: Prices range from $600-$700+

East Coast & Southern States: Prices range from $700-$800+

(Price may vary depending on exact location, time of year, individual flight nanny rates, etc.)

*Local families and those who wish to drive to pick up their puppy are welcome to do so on scheduled puppy pick-up dates*

HOW DO I RESERVE A PUPPY?

The best way to get a puppy from us is to place a $300 deposit and join the reservation list.

Puppy selection is based on the order of deposits placed and begins when the pups are 3-4 weeks old. The person on the top of the list will make their selection and the next person will proceed. To be sure you get the color/gender you prefer, don't delay getting your deposit in!

WHEN WILL YOU HAVE MORE PUPPIES?

We only have a few mamas in our program which means we only have one (sometimes two) litters a year. We keep our "Planned Litters" page up to date and that is where you can find more information about our plans for future puppies.

HOW ARE THE PUPPIES RAISED?

Puppies are raised in our home and around our children, which means we are very involved in the handling of the puppies from birth. Giving them lots of socialization, attention, and exposing them to sounds of a household life. Starting at 3 days old we begin ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation). There have been many studies showing that performing ENS has great benefits to the puppy all the way into their adult life. Around 3 weeks old the puppies start litter training, teaching them to use the potty area to eliminate. This does NOT mean they will be potty trained when they come home with you, but it does get them off to a great start! They are learning that there is a designated area for eliminating at such a young age which will hopefully make the transition to potty training easier and quicker for you.

DO YOU ALLOW IN HOME VISITS?

Unfortunately, no. We are not a kennel, our puppies are raised in our home. While we would love to accommodate these requests, our first priority is the safety and health of our puppies and family. There are absolutely no exceptions to this policy. Puppies being raised are not fully vaccinated until they are 16 weeks old (meaning they are not protected from easily transmittable diseases). We have also heard horrible stories of theft from other breeders, so for these reasons and many others, the puppy selection process is done by FaceTime/GoogleMeet. When it is time to pick-up your puppy it will be scheduled to meet at a public location. We post pictures to our website and post video updates to our Instagram page so you can see our dogs and puppies "in action". We are happy to provide previous puppy buyer references.

WHAT SIZES DO YOU BREED?

We currently only breed standard size Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles. We do not guarantee adult sizes, and make the best guess we can based on the weight of parents and past puppies produced. We do not breed any mini/micro/tiny sized puppies at this time.

HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TO GROOM MY DOG?

Grooming is a very important part of properly caring for and owning a Bernedoodle or Goldendoodle. Grooming practice should begin at a very young age with brushing and bathing at home. Puppy coats are easy to maintain, but it is important for puppies to get the exposure from a young age. As soon as your puppy is fully vaccinated, we recommend that you begin regular appointments with a groomer. In the beginning these will consists of simple baths and “puppy trims” that then progress to full grooming sessions as they grow. Typical adults will need full grooming appointments every 6-8 weeks. Your groomer will recommend frequency of appointments based on your dogs coat and lifestyle. This is in addition to at home maintenance of brushing multiple times a week and bathing when necessary.

WILL MY DOG SHED?

No dog is truly “non-shedding” or 100% hypoallergenic. We try to ensure the least amount of shedding possible in our puppies, but we can not guarantee that your dog will be these things. With F1s, I tell our clients to expect low to non-shedding coats. With the F1bs and Multigens, the chance of shedding is much less. And generally speaking, the curlier the dog, the less they will shed. What makes the Doodle breed different from many other dogs is the poodle in them, Poodles do not have an undercoat, and their curly hair sheds minimally. When it does shed, the hair becomes tangled in the other hair around it instead of falling off their body.

DO DOODLES CHANGE COLORS?

It can be common for a Doodle’s color to change to some degree as they mature. Some colors lighten and some darken. This comes from the Poodle side and can be present in any type of Poodle mix. We try our best to produce the most vibrant colors possible but health and temperament will always come first.

WHAT DOES F1 OR F1B MEAN?

There are many generations of doodles. We currently focus on breeding the F1 and F1B generation. F1: is a puppy from two purebred parents, example: Bernese Mountain Dog x PoodleF1B: is the result of taking an F1 Doodle and breeding it to one of the purebreds of the original mix (most commonly the poodle is chosen). example: F1 Bernedoodle x Poodle

CAN I SELECT MY PUPPY BASED ON TEMPERAMENT?

Puppy personalities and characteristics are ever changing up until adulthood and honestly, puppies most often just act like puppies! Sure we can see little qualities here and there but that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s how each puppy will be as an adult. We’ve had plenty of mellow and laid back puppies end up being outgoing and energetic adults. We’ve also had some of the most rambunctious pups in a litter end up incredibly easy going and relaxed. In the end we would hate for anyone to risk potentially not getting the puppy they truly want based on some puppy traits we see or don’t see here. Adult dogs are often as only good as the training and work their owners put in. The way they are raised, trained, and socialized greatly affects how your puppy will act as an adult. We recommend you do ample research on the breed as a whole and would urge you select your puppy based on the parent’s personalities and what their line has been known to produce. After all, one cannot predict the personality of a newborn child and their parents wouldn’t love them any less if they were different from what they expected. We believe dogs are no different. We cannot guarantee or predict exact temperaments, personality, or energy levels.

DO YOU OFFER BREEDING RIGHTS?

Each of our puppies is sold on a strict spay/neuter contract. If you are interested in breeding rights, please contact us as this will need to be discussed and you will need to be approved before proceeding to get a puppy from us.
